Creative World: A Long Tradition of Quality

1970 The Beginning: It is because we know childcare that we have had a long history of success! Our founders, Billie and Duane McCabe opened their first Creative World School in Independence, Missouri in 1970. As parents and educators, they were passionate about childhood education and this was the perfect opportunity for them to work together and start a family business.

1985 Ms. Billie and Mr. Duane's unique vision was quickly embraced as they expanded and operated up to forty-five small neighborhood centers in seven states. It was during this time of growth that Creative World's philosophy and teaching practices were refined. As testaments of the success of Creative World's educational system, Ms. Billie and Mr. Duane's daughters grew up within Creative World schools and are working with the company today.

1999 The Creative World tradition bridged generations as their daughters became part of the company. Their youngest daughter, Dr. Marianne Whitehouse, combines the experience of being raised in Creative World with a Ph.D. in Early Childhood and Elementary Education in her position as President. As Creative World's success continued, the dynamic family team expanded their vision to share their "recipe for success" with other business owners who valued the education of children, and a successful franchising organization was born.
